making of my street
to make my street i started of by making a block model of a house and kept every thing sperate so that i could swap them out with high polly versions with more detail. so after i made the block model i started on the other components like the doors and windows so i when to Google and found reference images for the doors and windows and then i created them and replaced the block model versions.
Then i started to texture the house by using the multi channel martial and the id channels so that i didn't have to uvw unwrap the house witch would have taken to much time and i wouldn't have done it in time. I split the house into 4 parts the tiles texture the brick texture the wood texture and the concrete texture. then i created these textures using bitmaps and some of the stranded matirals of max.
then i cerated instances of that house and placed them across my plane. then i added a skylight and that is how i made my street.
